Christmas tree hunt

december-2009-130-blog

december-2009-144-blogMom, Rachael & Gloria came over and we all enjoyed mom’s Christmas cookies, listened to Christmas music and made wreaths.

After 3 days of  looking at the one-sided tree that the big boys brought home, I could no longer stand it.  My little sister Tamason & I went hunting for trees with all sides.  We drove the ranch buggy to the Christmas tree forest, which was right outside the front door.  We braved the rain, mud and one exuberant goat.  tree-blog2

Spencer came along to clip the tree down for us.  Me and my double chin doing some sort of victory cry.

Tamason finds a perfect tree for the cottage on Mystic Mountain and me looking rather smug for some unknown reason.

The dilapidated ranch buggy, rather handy.

  6. Excellent! My friend Alice and her wee family fetched my Christmas tree from the woods. Alice clomb down a precipice and held on for dear life as she cut down 2 trees…whilst her husband, who was safely up the slope…watched…and her wee ones sat in the truck eating popcorn. Ahhh…country life and mighty women!

  13. I don’t know how you do it! You make everything you and your family does so magical. Like it all comes out of the pages of a book. Mostly vintage in feel thrown in with a little 21st century. It’s captivating.
