This is wedding week and we are having all kinds of fun. Preparations are in full swing. We have been stringing lights, weeding flower beds, adding lace to things, making birdcage veils, dreaming, scheming, yelling, giggling. All this amidst tidying up guest rooms and visiting out-of-town company.
The weather has been drippy for most of June and this first part of July making bride and company nervous about this outdoor celebration, but I guaranteed good weather. Sure enough, summer weather arrived today and there is no end in sight. In fact, the weatherman announced on the news last night that this weekend “would be perfect for a wedding”. Whew.
Today, family will come over to help again while the children light off fireworks on this warm Independence Day.
Getting Windy Ridge ready for it’s first wedding has left very little time for anything else, but it has been fun. A time to rejoice.
