I got super lucky to have the Pearl Layette samples done at the same time gifted photographer, Amanda Keeys, had her beautiful daughter, Piper Evangeline. I love how this set turned out and the photos are amazing, don’t you think? Seeing this sweet newborn makes me excited to meet our baby girl in 6 weeks.
I must say, this layette took some pondering. It was a challenge for me to come up with a design that was pretty, but simple and practical. No matter how pretty it is, if it’s not really comfortable it just sits in the closet looking pretty. After hours of hanging out at my favorite fabric store and being surrounded by sketches and swatches, I came up with this. I love the weight of the ivory crinkle cotton fabric on the gown and hat, gauzy and soft.
Just beautiful.. all these amazing photos of babies.. makes me want to have another one.. (*grrrr cause I cant ) I love this Layette set.
