On the road again

We spent Tuesday driving interstate 80 across Nebraska for miles and miles.  Flat and unadorned landscape for hours.  Then just when I thought I might die, trees!  We spent the evening winding through lush historic farm country.  The only photos captured are from my iPhone.  We are pulling a trailer full of concrete stuff and Levi isn’t interested in stopping every few miles. I don’t blame him.  On the way home we will be free of the trailer so hope to see some places we have never been and actually stop and take pictures.  Like New Orleans and Texas.

We spent the night in Nebraska City and are off again.  Severe weather with threat of tornadoes are predicted to hit right on our path, but we hope to beat them through Missouri!  Woohoo!

  10. Oh, Nebraska’s not that bad you just have to know where to go! Next time you are that close to me, give me a shout, we can give you a good homemade hot meal and a nice comfy bed to sleep in!! Enjoy your trip. The Bridge thing is a monument in Kearney, NE it is actually loaded with some fairly interesting stuff, but it is weird to see if you don’t know what it is. 🙂

  11. My mom is from Nebraska City. : )

Have a safe and beautiful drive. It’s pouring down rain back in the Pacific Northwest…at least up here in The Cascades…

    Best regards,
    Julie M.

  12. No you don’t sound snotty at all!! I grew up in Colorado and used to say the same things about Nebraska… then I met a NE farmer and he sucked me in. Nine years later I am married live in Nebraska and have 2 beautiful (of course) girls. Love your blog and your clothes, thanks for letting us be a part of your life!! 🙂

  13. When camping we would use a paint can with scented small trash can liners. Hint, hint. 🙂

  14. That would be great if you could come to Marshall, Texas.
