Little Red's golden birthday

Jace Walker & Hazel Jean

Today is Jace Walker’s golden birthday, 8 years old already!  8 years ago I was 29 years old and just misdiagnosed with Graves disease(I was later diagnosed with postpartum thyroiditis).  My thryroid was acting crazy and my pregnancy with Jace was a little harder because of this.  I started labor on a cold, sunny December day.  We went to the hospital around suppertime and he was born a few hours later.  Another nice & easy birth.  He was born with the most beautiful red hair and deep dimples.

Jace is an expressive little fellow with a huge, happy grin.  He has his own style and his isn’t afraid to express it.  He says “goodnight mom, I love you” about 5o times before he goes to bed.

We took him to dinner & shopping for his birthday gift.  He spent his birthday money from both sets of Grandparents on rubber animals & a pop gun.  He grinned the entire time. No lie.

Happy golden birthday little red, we love you!

  1. It truly is the “golden” birthday! Turning 8 years old is very special in our home too. 🙂
I was diagnosed with low thyroid before my 2nd to last pregnancy. It has done crazy things to my body. Mostly, to my ( what used to be thick) long hair. 🙁
    Merry Christmas!!

  2. What a wonderful way to spend a birthday! Happy Birthday to your Little Red from The Little Red Shop! : ) Julie M.
