January snow

We have about a foot of snow here in the foothills,  with another foot forecasted tomorrow.  Looks like our 3 day weekend will turn into 5 days or more. Yesterday ended with a sledding accident: scratches, broken collarbone and dislocated shoulder.  Today we managed to slide down to town for a doctor visit and to ship a urgent sample request to Vogue.  The best part…we made it back up the hill.  It’s like a different world up here. A few miles down the road and all is green and wet.

  1. We are LOVING our snow too….long overdue blast of winter. 🙂 Sorry to hear about the collar bone, praying it heals quickly! Hadn’t heard about the additional foot…better find some news I guess. 🙂 Stay safe!

  2. Valerie, I think you have to look at the Cascade foothills forecast, though they do mention it on local news, too. What elevation are you?

  3. So sorry to hear about a sledding accident . . . Hope all is ok. Blessings :O)

  4. Vogue?! Are they using your clothes in a spread?

  5. We look like that here in Michigan too. We have been lucky this year for the sake of not being dumped on until January. It makes it easier to deal with WINTER. I do like winter and all that goes with it but, loving to have only 3-4 months of snow instead of 6 months makes it alot easier to enjoy it. Broken collar bone? Oh no I hope a fast and full recovery.

  6. Oh,sledding sounds really fun right now! 🙂 Who broke their collarbone? 🙁 Hope they heal well! 🙂

  7. Your photographs are stunning, they look almost like painted pictures. Hope you are doing well!
