It's no wonder

It’s no wonder I can’t control these love handles. Hazel Jean keeps craving stuff like this.  Yes, it’s her fault.

grilled-pastrami

I made this grilled goodness for lunch today.  It is much tastier than it looks in the photo.  This recipe is a variation of a sandwich I found in the Better Homes & Garden magazine.

Grilled Pastrami Sandwich

Ingredients:

  • Sliced Italian bread
  • Thin sliced peppered pastrami
  • cream cheese
  • pesto
  • yellow bell pepper  thinly sliced
  • green olives thinly sliced
  • sun-dried tomatoes thinly sliced
  • sweet onion thinly sliced (Vidalia are my favorite!)

Saute onion, pepper, sun-dried tomatoes & pastrami. Spread a liberal amount of cream cheese on one slice of bread and pesto on the other.  Pile on the pastrami, grilled veggies & green olives.  Butter both sides and grill until golden brown.
