Here Comes the Bride

This was the best moment of the entire wedding. I had been running since morning and was tending to reception preparation on the other side of the house when I realized the ceremony was starting. I raced to the front, scared that I was going to miss it.  Cousin Joeleen was in the background telling the bridal party when to walk. I scrambled to get in place with my camera. Suddenly, the music swelled and there was my dad with my baby sister on his arm. I was overcome with emotion and almost forgot to snap photos. I thought about how crazy it was that my baby sister is old enough to be married and how happy I was that she found a good man with a good family. I thought about how 20 years ago my dad walked me down the aisle, his first to leave the nest. I thought about how the last 2 months of non-stop wedding planning led up to this very moment.
