Jessie Pearl's 2nd Week

Jessie Pearl is such a sweet and easy baby, but she still takes up all my time. My day consists of feeding, changing, cuddling, feeding, changing, feeding. I got a note home from school that there are confirmed cased of Pertussis in my 4th grader’s class and that a Pertussis epidemic has now been declared […]

Jessie's 1st Week

Jessie Pearl has been such an easy baby so far. It has taken me a bit longer to recover this time so I am so thankful for that. I have spent the last week just holding her. And inhaling her and nibbling on her cheeks. She is perfectly delicious. Thank you all for the thoughts, […]

Jessie's Birth Story

I was uncomfortable, but not overly anxious to have baby. I could wait the 10 days because I still had stuff to get done. I have never had my babies more than 3 days early without induction, but I had a feeling this time would be different. I started having contractions at 9 pm on […]

Meet Jessie Pearl

Our baby girl surprised us by making her way into the world in April instead of May, 9 days early. Things didn’t go as smoothly as I planned and I feel like I have been run over by a small car. She had us nervous for awhile, but all ended wonderfully well. Birth story and […]

Sunday Dresses

Violet & Hazel are wearing dresses I found on a treasure hunt. Handmade by a local artisan. So bright, colorful and different than eden’s bouquet, but I love them.  After the service the girls begged to run in the little meadow at church so I snapped some photos with my iPhone.

Spring Mountain

A beautiful Spring mountain I went treasure hunting and grocery shopping at Costco yesterday and almost died of exhaustion. I weigh fifteen pounds more than I did with Hazel and I’m paying the price. I waddle around Costco and everyone tries to sympathetically load my cart for me. By the time I got home I […]

Anticipation

I came across Hazel’s birth video yesterday and now I am really excited (and a little anxious) about having this baby in 3.5 weeks. For the first time I heard the doctor and nurse discuss in hushed tones about how tight the knot was in her cord. I missed that in all the excitement of […]
