If you like Olive Garden’s Zuppa Toscana soup as much as me, you will love this recipe. Uncle Tim made a big pot and brought it along on Sauna night. He is now my favorite uncle. Zuppa Toscana Indgredients: 1 1/2 cups spicy sausage(Uncle Tim used good old Jimmy Dean ground breakfast sausage and it was […]
Zuppa Toscana
On the way home while trying to decide where to stop for the night I caught a glimpse of a sign on the side of the interstate that read: Historic Iron Horse Hotel, next exit I frantically ordered Levi to “turn here! turn here!”. In the nick of time we found ourselves winding through quaint farm […]
Three beautiful bucks prancing around in our fields this morning. Made me wish I had a nice zoom lens.
It’s no wonder I can’t control these love handles. Hazel Jean keeps craving stuff like this. Yes, it’s her fault. I made this grilled goodness for lunch today. It is much tastier than it looks in the photo. This recipe is a variation of a sandwich I found in the Better Homes & Garden […]
We rolled into warm & sticky South Carolina around lunch time. My hands & feet swelled. I felt like I was taking a sauna with my clothes on. But that is beside the point. First stop was my cousin Bonnie’s house. This is when my GPS started to lie to me and it took us twice […]
Photo with special “salty sea” filter. (yeah Levi’s cell phone lens was all fogged up) The boys are back from the ocean with a mess of fresh halibut & crab. On the menu tonight: Crab chowder, panko breaded halibut & crab won-tons. Windy Ridge Crab Chowder Ingredients 5 cups potatoes diced (we leave the peelings on) 3 […]
What Sonia captured here is perfect. My mind can weave a complete story & design an entire collection from this photo alone. Little Selwyn is modeling the Cobblestone Collection.
Finally! Why do I take so long when I have 5 boys of my own to dress? What an honor to have Sonia from Bohemian Secret shoot photos for eden’s bouquet! She has the most beautiful boys & her photos evoke a magical “old time” feeling that is perfect for eden’s. I could sit and gaze at […]
I should have known. When the donkey & the dog went racing past my office I knew that visitors had arrived. I had a sneaking suspicion that dad had brought his guests, Myron & Karla from South Dakota, through the woods to tour Windy Ridge. I was right. I instantly regretted spending the day painting instead of housekeeping. “Anyone […]
Violet loves Emili. It freaks me out a bit. She has absolutely no fear of animals. I am always afraid that Emili will accidentally step on Violet, so when I see her getting too close I will run out to warn her. Violet reacts by giggling and swinging off the donkey’s tail. I flap my wings hysterically.
