The Sea of Sunset
This is the land the sunset washes,
These are the banks of the Yellow Sea;
Where it rose, or whither it rushes,
These are the western mystery!
Night after night her purple traffic
Strews the landing with opal bales;
Merchantmen poise upon horizons,
Dip, and vanish with fairy sails.
-Emily Dickinson
An impromptu getaway with all 9 children, the last hurrah before school starts. We couldn’t let summer get away without a trip to the ocean. The weather was an unexpected gift and we had a wonderful time. We are back. With loads of photos to share.
