My 4th child is 12 today. 12 years ago I was 25 and we had just finished remodeling our 480 square foot house into a whopping 2000 square feet. I felt like a queen. I was rushing to get the house in order before he was born. The house was in order, no labor. 1 week overdue, no labor. My doctor called me on a Sunday night and asked if I would like to come in the next morning for an induction. Yes! Up until then I had resisted induction and endured long, hard labors. For some reason I was scared induction would be worse. Quite the contrary, my labor and delivery was fast and easy and they have been ever since.
The first thing I noticed about Spencer was his deep dimples. With those charming dimples and his fat blonde curls he got away with just about everything when he was younger. My Spence is exuberant, funny, mischievous, happy, smart & easy going.
Levi gave him a gun for his birthday. I agreed to this as long as the safety is on and no bullets are involved. Ha.

Happy Birthday to you Spencer Cole, my boy also celebrated his 14th B-day on this day! and he also received a gun from his father. They are going wild Turkey hunting in October.
