We are back from our week long adventure. We had a wonderful, mind clearing drive through 6 states.
Day one:
Armed with laptop & camera we begin our journey east on highway 84.
We hook up aunt Violet’s travel trailer, drive for a few hours and promply run out of gas. We underestimated how much gas it would take to tow a travel trailer over dead man’s pass and stalled 8 miles from town. I thought this was funny, it took Levi a little longer to laugh about it, but he did eventually. I scribbled “out of gas” on the back of our mapquest papers and stood out on the highway. It didn’t take long for state patrol to save us, which is a good thing because it was cold and starting to snow.
We spent the first night in Twin Falls, Idaho. For some reason I thought that Idaho was a rugged state. Not so. I find that from the highway Idaho is flat and yellow. I am sure if we ventured off the beaten path I would love it.
