I’ve never had a huckleberry, what would you compare them too?
Oh yes, happiness is fresh berries so close by… Yesterday Grandpa (my Dad) and some of the kids (we always have Sunday lunch together, there are nearly 14 grandchildren so far anyway) went out to pick wild black and red raspberries to put on some cheese cake to celebrate a birthday.. they were so beautiful, and yummy… and the kids were so excited to pick them… Summer happiness.

jen, i had the strangest dream…not sure what it means… but I visited windyridge and it was a bed and breakfast and eden was playing in a large field out front and i was trying to take her photo under the eden’s bouquet sign !!! hahahah. guess I read your blog too much!
are red huckleberries as good as the blueish ones? We go up into the mt.s and pick them every year um yummy!

Jen-They sure do love those berries any kind they can get their little fingers on. They come in so proud of themselves look mom we picked you some berries! With stained fingers and all, and maybe a few smudges here and their, those memories we will cherish them forever even though they can be a little messy!
We were just having a discussion about wild berries yesterday. I have never eaten a wild berry. Mike was telling me that we have some on the side of our yard. I dont know how to tell if I can eat them or not. I guess I’ll look it up 🙂 Ours are more of a blackish blue color. Love your belly pics, I wish my belly looked like that at 35 weeks 🙂
I love huckleberries! I have never picked them wild, but the best pie I have ever had was a huckleberry cream pie in my home town in Idaho.
