Plates & cups

Yesterday we went treasure hunting.  The objects desired?  Plates & cups.  I know that I was supposed to focus on my office, but this was an emergency.  All previous sauna nights we were forced to beg brother Ben to borrow his dinnerware.  Luckily he lives right across the sidewalk in the guest house with his wife Meg and their 4 lovely children.

I love white.  You probably knew that.  This is something that I can reasonably collect in the purest of whites.  My quest is simple.  Anything white in any shade of white.  Any design or shape.  Antique or new. Dainty or commercial grade. I collect them all.

I collect dishes with roses for the chicken-wire-china-cabinet.  Please send anything you have to PO box 429. Thank you.

  1. Your so funny! I’ll keep an eye out for rose dishes! 😉 I love dishes as well, and I wanted to do a wall of plates for a friends house(who needed a ‘new’ look) and I picked up some of the same plates you have, @ TJMaxx too, to complete her wall! I will be posting a picture of the outcome soon! It just turned out beautifully!

  2. you are too cute

    good score

  3. 🙂 Love those plates!!Good chioce!!

  4. Love your taste, as usual! Looks about like what I collect! I especially love the rose plates…and I love chicken-wire-china cabinets! I tried to talk hubby into getting me one a few years ago, but he reminded me that I’d filled our house with so many china cabinets (2 in the dining room, 1 in the kitchen, 1 in Olivia’s room, 1 in my studio to store fabric, 1 in the foyer, 1 on the back porch…you get the picture) that there just wasn’t any room for it. I still think about that china cabinet and wish I’d been able to find a place for it, but my silly boys just wouldn’t agree to my putting it in their room! Boys! They didn’t want any rose china or rose quilts or rose fabric to be stored in their room either :o)

Congratulations on your successful treasure hunting trip!

  11. I absolutely adore those dishes….one day I will get out of this house and start my own treasure hunt. My flea market and antique market adventures have been hindered by rain lately …so sad I am.
Ok..just caught up on all your posts…I love the fact that you have over 300 ideas for names…
The boys are great photographers themselves 🙂 The fish story made me just smile…what a wonderful life to pick up and go fishing on the ocean…and come home with a good catch 🙂
I am back in action these days….thanks for your inspiration to get Hannah’s dress just the way I wanted it….
Take care and hope you are feeling well.
