On a Lighter Note

Our floor is here! I can scarcely believe it!  We purchased our reclaimed barn wood flooring from Lost Lodge Timber many months ago.  They have a beautiful product and very reasonable pricing.  Unfortunately we had to beg and plead for every square inch.   Because of them we have not been able to move in.  I have been struggling with resentment and anger toward them.  Actually that is not true.  I have been embracing my resentment and anger toward them.   I have been cursing their lying tongues bitterly. Give me a break, I am pregnant.  I have unruly hormones.  I am working on the resentment issues.  Be sure to insist your flooring is delivered before paying in full and all will be well.

My wonderful, glorious closet.  Big enough to be a bedroom in my opinion.

Tile in the master bath.

This means that we can finally move in!  After 4 years of squishing 10 humans in a 1000 square foot space we are moving into the main house!  Hallelujah!

  12. Hi Jen,
Your floors look great especially the wood floor. Remember to get those butt joints nice and tight (well…anyway thats what my hubby also said when he was laying down hardwood floors. REAL Hardwood, you will love it and it will love you back! God Bless you and your wonderful family, and I have said a prayer that your new little one will be healthy and happy. Show Levi the pics of us fishing, better yet,,, maybe NOT, as Dave knows how he loves to fish. We miss the beauty of the Pacific NW and all the kind, intelligent and hard working folks of Washington.
God Bless you and your family.

  16. Ohhh…I’m SO happy for you! We thought that 8 people in 2,000 square feet was rough! We can’t wait to move for more breathing room!

Your floors are beautiful! So sorry you had the delays (been there, done that — too many times!), but so glad you’re getting in now! I’ve been trying to catch up on my blog reading…maybe having more of your own air to breathe will help you feel better physically?! (Last I knew you were still doing pretty well on Zofran — which I’ve never had offered to me before, and am quite certain that I would have LOVED to survive the first trimester and a a half!) So sorry that you haven’t been able to skip the pregnancy sickness altogether this time! I hope you’ll have lots of help moving in!
