2700 miles of blacktop & 3 time zones in 3 days. We rolled into Windy Ridge at 9:45pm last night. I stumbled through the door and immediately had 7 kids(one was sleeping) crowded around me telling me the events of the last nine days and showing me the treasures they had found. It is so good to be back!
The big boys found buried treasure that take up my counters and tables.
I have about 1000 photos to go through, a cross-country journey to tell of & a baby girl name to announce. First I must try to get my house in order.
I hope you were able to get a good night’s rest surrounded by those you love. Those bottles are quite the find! I can already see flowers sticking out of them!
So glad you guys made it home safely, despite your storm-chasing, Chick-o-Stick-eating, hood-ornament surfing, prairie-dog-feeding, violin-sonata-listenin’, cheesecake-grubbin’, mansion-sleepin’-in’in, Lonestar Steakin’, town-skippin’, graduation-ditchin’, windshield-washer-twitterpatin’, Colombia-Gorge ooglin’, Skanky-billboard-dodgin’, Windy-Ridge-Landin’, charming-bottle-findin’, memory-card-unloadin’ trip to the South!
wonderful .. to be safe back home …
