After selling, uprooting, moving, selling, building and moving again I am finally settling into making videos and blogging again. I’ve missed that!
A few years late but here is a little film of Gabe & Sabra’s wedding day. My first daughter to get married. My sweet, brown-eyed, little girl. They were engaged shortly after we moved to Seaview Cottage and I think we had the whole wedding planned by 3pm the following day. A super easy and casual wedding following a long season of big, grand, Windy Ridge weddings.
I’m usually not an overthinker to begin with but perhaps I underthought this day. We forgot to plan a cake and also forgot to take photos and video of the reception and didn’t even realize until some time later. The biggest reason I am a wee bit disappointed is because I really wish I had pictures to show the wonderful reception space that Salt Hotel so graciously let us occupy. We had our local Streetside Tacos serve up the wedding feast. It was a “no pressure and no worries” kind of day for all involved and several of us shot iPhone video to make the film. The stunning footage of the landscape belongs to none other than our boy Jace Walker.
Gabe and Sabra have already been through so much in life but God is faithful and I am so thankful for the strong and courageous team they make. Their story is one of perseverance and love. Hence the title of the film.
A very relaxed and easy day but a big huge sacred moment.
