I’m not sure you can call them fresh, but they taste fine. The kids found 48 eggs in the woodpile, laid by a few wayward hens. Levi thought I should take a photo, so I did.
AND…
It’s snowing. May as well enjoy it. The twinkly lights are being hung, Christmas cookies are being baked and gifts wrapped.
I tell the kids this morning:
“I’m so excited, this is your last day of school, tomorrow it’s Christmas Break, WOOHOO!”
Sabra rolls her eyes and says:
“Duh, mom, it’s just the weekend”
What a spoilsport that child is.
Jen, I think you need a vacation! Ha! Oh what the heck..Merry Christmas! How many hens do you have? It would take me a month to get a pile like that…well not me..the chickens of course!
MERRY CHRISTMAS dear Jen!!! Might as well enjoy this wintery weather we are having:) BTW you sound sooo much like my dear Mother.Thats something she would of said to us kids:) my kids might even say that I would say such a thing;)
this makes me sooo excited to get our laying hens! wooo!!
My hubby used to let our chickens roam free til the neighbors brought us a Walmart sack full of eggs and told us that our chickens had been visiting their flower pots! My 9 year old was so embarrassed that we thought she’d never go outside again!
You always make me laugh:) I think Levi must have a good eye for photos too, cuz that is actually a really great one that would make a sweet farm calendar pic or something!
Did you truly hang lights and bake cookies??!!! I love you!!! 🙂
haha…funny stuff:)
Spring just doesn’t want to get there, hah?
Yeah, I tell my kids that Spring and winter are fighting…haha. What happened to our “early spring”? I think we bragged to much!!! And yes, the things you say often remind me of my mom. 🙂
