I got this delicious & easy recipe from my friend Heather from Simply To Impress. Of course, being the health freaks that we are, we used 2% , sugary pudding mix and a big glob of whipped cream.
1 1/2 c. cold fat free milk
2 cups coarsely crushed ice
1/2 c. water
1 package (1.4 oz) sugar free instant chocolate pudding
1 tbsp vanilla extract
Blend it all up in the blender. Makes 3 LARGE servings. 167 calories if divided by 3. If you did 4 servings (still plenty) then it would only be 125 calories.
My brother & my son. The mess smoothie makers.
More mom!!
Will you LOOK at that red coat! Wow! Too cute! The smoothies sound great! Thanks for the idea!
Ruth
Um, yeah! Smoothie looks awesome, but I am thinking the same…where DID you find that coat??? Or is that another one of your gorgeous creations?
mmmm! cute mess makers!:) and vi of course!
oh yummm…that looks scrumptious!!!
You sound like me. I went to my midwife’s last week and she told me to watch what I eat, on the way home I stopped at McDonalds and got a Big Mac and watched it go down and LOVED IT!!
OK u need to let me know how you frickin eat and drink this stuff and still look thin as you are. What the heck?
And dang from following your blog, I’d say you’re one of the best moms out there – you amaze me with your spirit. Being able to allow the kids to make this kinda thing totally teaches independence; now if I could only get to that step (them being in the house making any kind of mess can drive me CRAZY)!
And you still have time to look good, blog, do your business AND be a mom. Please don’t tell me you homeschool your kids or I’ll have to go plant my face in what little snow we have left up here…
PS I’ll be that’s homemade whipped cream?
looks like Ruth gets around huh!?
love that recipe you sugar freak!
Looks really good!!!
That looks good! Im not one for chocolate, usually. But Id take that over my fruit smoothies ANY day! Thanks for the recipe. Now if I can talk my husband into making it!
Sounds yum, I’m going to have to try it. I bet it’d be good with a smidgen of instant coffee and maybe a dash of raspberry syrup, though I’ve come across a blend of genes similar to that of your kiddos so I’m sure they did fine without an extra kick of caffeine. 🙂 Have a wonderful week, Jen! God bless you and yours
Oh, I am so making that this weekend!
Hope all is well in your world.
You are the cutest pregnant person, well, ever!
So glad you are past some not so fun parts and are feeling better.
Have a beautiful day.
Mmmm…that looks so good! Thanks for sharing the receipe.
That sounds delicious!!
I am using this smoothie recipe for an outdoor party today (in a cooler with ice of course!)
It seems easy and I’m a bad cook! thanks for the idea.
