The house may not be finished. But the sauna is. It may not have water yet, but we are not above hauling in buckets of water. Violet is addicted. She hasn’t stopped begging for another. Not happy about leaving the steam room

Wow, this family has been through so much. Update this morn on Cole’s caringbridge site: Moireen’s (Cole’s mom) sister Staisha (her older sister age 25 married & mother of 4 small children) is going into surgery this morning. Last night was told she has a tumor in her brain. We as a family are resting […]
This is what happened at the ranch yesterday. After a happy life Sir Loin has served his purpose. Thank you big cow, I hope you taste really good. Now that I have made you queasy I am off to hand-craft a billion and one dainty little headbands. Then I am going to work on my […]
Mystery solved by detective mother. The missing cups were discovered on my way to bring the children to school. Who knows how many have become homes for salamanders. Kind of gross, huh? Try not to think about it next time you are sipping lemonade at Windy Ridge.
A little something to get you in the mood. Our favorite Swedish girls (<—tis a link! click it!) singing some Christmas for us. Check out their youtube page. Cambree & Sabra’s (somewhat timid:) rendition of “Tiger Mountain Peasant Song” is on (tis another link!—>)their favorites! They have been feeling famous all day. I had to borrow my friend […]
Craft time. I printed a ream of coloring pages and masks from here. The masks were a hit. Wyatt launched himself off the bed and into the dresser acquiring a good size egg on the forehead. Instant celebrity. His cousins colored his pictures for him and showered him with gifts and lavish attention. Cousin Dewey gave him […]
Thank you, thank you, thank you! For the hat and darling little socks! I REALLY LOVE this hat by Riihipeikko from Finland. This is the first one I have ever owned and we will get much use out of it. I bet you had NO IDEA that we would have so much fun with this hat. I meant […]
The kids love to help out with everything in the new home. Their favorite part is donning rubber gloves because that makes them feel important. The joy they get from helping is worth the hours of touch up that I have to do. I think.
I hate these things. Mostly because of the mess they make. Every week I vow that I will never allow them in the house again. As you can see, Violet loves them.
