Double digit! I remember the year I turned 10 so very well. It was a milestone. Just like last year, Sabra chose Outback Steakhouse for supper. Levi & Sabra enjoyed their meal while I furiously bounced the crabby baby. That is one way to lose weight. After that we perused the mall, something we rarely do. Levi made […]

Size 7 & 8 Madison Rose Ruffle Pants just added to the Odds & Ends Collection. Purchase here. This is Violet, doesn’t she look a bit like Hazel?
Wyatt has been impatiently counting the days until his 6th birthday. It is a relief for both us to have it done & over with, the poor kid was about to have a nervous breakdown. We brought him to town to celebrate. He could choose any restaurant he wanted and he chose Burger King. Have you […]
Can you believe that Brother Ben is 30? We celebrated this milestone at our house. They came all the way over from across the sidewalk. Big party I tell you. We sat around in front of the fire half asleep and ate the delicious food Meg brought. All the day long. Big party I tell you. […]
Outside our front door. Right this very minute. I am counting on another sunny day tomorrow. (okay, it isn’t that great in the photo, but I promise you it is spectacular in real life!)
A fistful of feathers from the chicken coop{gross}. A stapler & felt. A little war paint. The big boys brought the little ones to beg for candy with the other goblins & monsters.
Remember when I stated that I was going to start posting the old stories on the blog in the “memory lane” category? Well that was almost a year ago and nothing much has been posted. Here is another random little story that I want to document for my great-great grandchildren and the children of their […]
Our 3rd annual festival. It doesn’t seem right to call it a pumpkin festival this year as Wyatt was the only kid with a pumpkin. Instead of pumpkin carving we made woodland crowns and treasure boxes. Click here for directions. The children took baskets outside and gathered earthen treasures for their projects. Edna followed. My house is […]
Our first nature walk since Hazel was born. This made Violet happy. We went on our annual hunt for Autumn, a tradition at Windy Ridge. It was sweatshirt weather with just enough chill in the air to paint our noses pink. Perfect. The fog filtered the sunshine giving us beautiful lighting for photos.
Hazel is 7 weeks old already. I feel like I am 47 weeks pg when wearing baby, just a lot more comfortable. When I went to Woody’s auction a sweet lady jumped up and offered me her seat because she thought I was pregnant. I wear my Moby wrap everywhere and Hazel loves it. Actually […]
