We are enjoying this blessed season of Advent here at Windy Ridge. Quite a bit busier than last year at this time when I was chair-ridden with pregancy sickness. Baking, reading the advent story, parties and recitals. We have been dreaming up Christmas Eve party plans and I think this year we will do an Italian menu. Each family is putting together a basket with handmade and items found in the home to exchange. I am really looking forward to having the clan over. What will you be doing on Christmas Eve? I would love to hear about your traditions.
Hark the herald angels sing, Glory to the newborn king. Peace on earth, and mercy mild, God and sinners reconciled!
What a wonderful and thoughtful idea. How do you exchange the baskets ? Do you make one for each family? Love following your family. You always make things so special and full of meaning.
Love you and your sweet family 🙂 My husband’s family is Italian, so every Christmas Eve we have the traditional Italian family dinner at the in-laws. Homeade Spaghetti and Clams (no meat on Christmas Eve), and we all exchange one gift. I adore your idea of homeade and “found” items – so thoughtful!
Such a special time of year….so glad you are able to enjoy it to the fullest this year 😉 Warm holiday wishes and blessings to you all XOX
Tina, each family will make one basket and we exchange with random drawing.
Lolo, Homemade spaghetti and clams…YUM!
Thanks girls!
I am so looking forward to Christmas Eve!! Hope to get myt “basket” all done up the way I want! 🙂
