Cloaked in snow

This is for you, Alabama folk. The view that you missed.

The last time we saw St. Helens she was bare.

After hiding behind the clouds for a few days she emerges with a glorious new cloak of pristine snow

Oh how I love the Autumn landscape.  The gossamer clouds that settle gently in all the low places giving Windy Ridge a sense of enchantment.  The last deciduous leaves clinging on for dear life as the majestic evergreens stand among them, tall & boastful. The wispy tendrils of woodsmoke rising up from the surrounding hills,  telling of cozy neighbors.

ahem…

A blue eyed troll just wandered in from all that enchantment and interrupted my reverie. She is pulling at my pant leg and screeching

 “MUM, MUM!”

I suppose it’s time to stop gazing out the window and tend to her.

Have a wonderful day, my friends!
