Meet Lulu and Blue. Lulu is Violet’s best dolly. We picked her up at a Cracker Barrel somewhere in Missouri on our road trip to the south. She goes everywhere with Violet. Blue is Lulu’s friend. Cousin Peyton named him. Boys seem to be very straightforward when it comes to naming, the dolls and animals are name according to their color. Cousin Peyton lives across the sidewalk in the guest house. Violet & Peyton are two peas in a pod. Until cousin Emma gets home from school, then there are 3 peas in the pod.
I kind of wish we would have bought a bigger doll. Lulu is always getting lost, which results in a frantic search & rescue involving all 11 of us and Violet mournfully hollering:
“Luluuuu! Where are you? Come see mama!”
This usually happens 3 or 17 times a day. When she is found there is a jubilant reunion. I have even offered reward money for her safe return. It is amazing how quick she can be found when reward money is offered.
Violet is wearing the Pintuck Bloomer from the upcoming Saturday Market Collection. I think she wears them every day.
🙂
This brings back a wonderful memory. When I was a child, my twin brother had a little boy doll. He called him Blue Baby.
“reward money” lol!!!! I do that over here too! works great!
Boo-tee-ful! 🙂
That is adorable!!! Love little girls with their dolls. My youngest girl had her little doll, who too, was quite little. She named her Litto (Little) Rhee. She wore her in a sling, breastfed her, put her in a carseat, and took her everywhere. It was the sweetest thing ever. Now Everett nurtures Litto Rhee.
So sweet 🙂
That is so sweet! And her bloomers really are so lovely. I want the line available already so I can steal my husband’s credit card!!
I have missed my blogging! We have been road tripping from South Carolina(home) to Southern California (real home)…
I loooove this post!! I also cannot wait for our upcoming line! BTW..I love Violets hair up in those little braided buns! Too precious!
Huh? What does that last comment have to do with the price of tea in China? BTW I like dollies. 😉
Oh how sweet!!! That is to funny….
Kids! So adorable and funny! The pintuck bloomers are stinkin CUTE!!
Seriously, you’re killin me with these pintuck bloomers Jen!! Hope I have enough saved!
I still have a special friend from 31 yrs ago, Brown Bear.
I bought my Bamboletta doll glasses from Build a Bear and my husband decided they should be Brown Bears. We jokingly bickered about it for days until I went and bought a 2nd pair. I’ll have to send you pics 🙂
You crack me up! Those dolls look just like they belong in your family, no wonder they have to be found so many times a day:) It is so funny to think about what boys would name their siblings if given a chance…red? yellow? orange?
Oh how I adore this post. Reward money works every time and your Violet precious to say the least.
Hope the sun is shining brightly and gently on your life.
