Spring is exploding here at Windy Ridge. Every shade of glorious green adorns branches & stems. The property is teeming with new life. Frogs are croaking and a sundry of birds are chirping their enchanting melodies. I told Violet that they were singing for her, so now when she walks outside and hears them she says very matter of factly: “Oh, thank you birdies.”
And Spring brings…babies.
Sabra could barely breathe when she ran in and told us that Mama bunny had babies. Four fluffy bundles of cuteness.
Macy the cat is next. Each morning, the children run to check on her in breathless anticipation. We all have bets on how many she will have.

I can just imagine how sweet little Violet’s little voice is with the things she says. At least you fill your kids’ heads with tender things like “the birdies are singing for you.” For years mine thought that airbags were filled with popcorn so you’d have something to eat while paramedics arrived.
