Rustic Apple Tarts

rustic apple tarts
Rustic style works well for me. Rustic is imperfect and I am good at that.  Whip up and roll out your favorite pie crust recipe (made or bought) and cut circles with whatever you have on hand, I used a lid. Grease  muffin tin and gently press in pie crust circles and fill up with pie filling. I used Autumn’s harvest that was sitting in jars in the pantry. Bake at 350 until crust is golden brown. Let cool before lifting out or you’ll end up with cracked crust same as hasty me. Top with ice cream and savor. So easy.

  2. YUM. I need to do this. I have frozen blackberries, blueberries, and peaches from summer that we need to use up! Perfect little cobblers. 🙂

I always end up canning all my apples as sauce.

  3. Thank you for this! I love the way your recipes are written out – so much less intimidating than exact quantities and steps.
