Dining Sofa

Wyatt and my niece, Sophia

Once upon a time I found a beautiful antique sofa with carved wood arms and legs.  The house wasn’t finished and I didn’t have room for it so I passed it up. Stupid me!  I have been searching for years and haven’t found another like it.  I found the second best at Ballard Designs.  I love it with my wobbly antique table.  The armless style is perfect for climbing on and off. The outdoor rug is from the same place, great because you can just hose it off.

The hooks on the wall are hand forged by my dad. I have these all over my house.  They can be purchased here.

  5. What a great idea! Perfect for me cause i hate sitting at the kitchen table on hard chairs. Prefer the livingroom to eat in if I’m not eating with my family.

I have a very OLD sofa/settee with wood carved frame that I painted white and reupholstered in a green velvet. I have the same problem, no room for it. So I placed as seating at my dining room table. It didn’t work so well because the seat was kind of low and the arms to the settee made it hard to get in and out, but it looked fabulous!!!;) It’s now in my daughters room:)
LOVE the sofa you have at your table! It’s perfect!!!:) I love Ballard Designs!!:)
