Concrete countertop

concrete-counterI only managed to get a few good photos before the clouds rushed in and stole my natural lighting.  Levi made me a concrete countertop for my island over the weekend and I LOVE it.  I didn’t want anything fancy, nothing faux, just good old industrial concrete, Levi’s specialty. Easy(helps that Levi is a concrete man:), inexpensive and feels so nice to touch.

We had zinc and though I loved the look of it, because of the width of our island we had to have a seam and had some warping issues.  The concrete gives me the same look, but is seamless.  It also washes up nicer than the zinc as water doesn’t bead up on it.

Step by Step instructions and more photos coming soon.
