Company Came

march-2009-050-web

Our nieces Marissa & Shanda and their friend Ashley. Aren’t they darling?  I was a bit reluctant to use the sepia action because you can’t see Shanda’s glorious red hair.  Just know that it is wonderful.  These young girls make me feel old and frumpy.  That’s it, I vow to go get my hair done within the next month or so.  Then I am going to wear the pretty hairpin I just bought from Geeta.

Wyatt snapped these while we were visiting.  Poor company-starved child was absolutely twitter-pated.

I didn’t get real fancy with Violet’s hair.  She ended up with the same vertical, sticky ponytail she wears everyday.  Things will get better I tell myself.

As you can see, my eldest sons are acting civilized.

I am a pretty lame hostess.  We all just sat there and stared at the fire for two hours.  Just kidding, it wasn’t anywhere near that bad.  I actually sat there and asked them all the questions that old aunts always ask.

I wonder if our company noticed my hot pink ipod in the guest bathroom toilet?  If so they didn’t mention it.  I am pretty certain they peed on it.  Darn!  So much for acting civilized.  I am still tying to figure out how it got there.  There are several possibilities and one of them has a vertical ponytail.

They are good girls and Levi is bringing them fishing on Friday.  I may tag along with the camera.

Look what Melaine just posted on her beautiful blog, so sweet!

  4. I came to your blog by way of My Sweet Savannah. Wow… You have the kind of blog I could only dream about creating! So beautiful! The pictures are to die for!

  5. Oh, Melaine is sweet alright. She was kind enough to introduce me to your blog last night, which I spent far more time on than I should have, after which we felt the need to discuss how fabulous it was *TWICE* on the phone. I think I am thankful you and I aren’t friends or I would most likely be considering another baby… You really seem to have to be blessed~ I can’t wait to see what happens with your house and that fabulous baby!

  6. I just found your blog, and I am in LOVE!!! You have such a beautiful family and life. I also love your clothes. If I had a little girl, I could just picture her dressed like this all the time. However, I do have a little Wyatt, so I was more than thrilled to see that you have one too! I am so excited to follow your blog. It is simply wonderful. Good luck with the house. I must say, I’m jealous! haha…..I know you are just tickled to death with it!
