Our first real, sticking snow of the season and it is magical.
I am looking forward to our Thanksgiving feast next week. I have some fun stuff planned that probably won’t go as planned, but will be fun nonetheless. I am going to attempt to set a table this year. Usually we set up buffet style and it is a free-for-all with millions of people sitting on counters, sofa & floor. What do you have planned? Any ideas for kid’s activities?
Oh, what fun! I just came in from my snowy shop!
Happy Thanksgiving!

oh wow you guys got a lot! So cute!
My kids are jealous!!! I told them not to worry, we will get plenty… Tho I must admit, I’m a little jealous too… hehe!!! An idea I have had is to have everybody write on a piece of paper what they are thankful for and put it in a can or jar.. Then while everybody’s eating or right after, somebody read them all…
:::::covers eyes:::: For Pete’s sake would you put some (preferably high-end, stylish-yet-comfortable) clothes on that snowman?
Wow! What a beautiful picture. I am so jealous of your snow. We get zero in our part of the country. Thanks for sharing the pic. Happy Turkey Day!
Send some of that snow to South Carolina! 😉
I miss the snow in Idaho!
If only we could all play in the snow in EB!!!!! DArling pic!!! SHe is growing up!
Aww… So fun! We would always dress up as Pilgrims or Indians when we were growing up and we are going to attempt it this year with our kiddos! 🙂 Christmas at home we have always signed a tablecloth and Mom paints what we wrote or drew. Many years of memories on that linen! 🙂 You could do it for Thanksgiving and everyone say what they are thankful for. Course then you’d have to paint it or something so maybe a bit more work than you’d want! 🙂
Jen – I am amazed at that picture, when I look at it I feel like I am right there. We are going to attempt to decorate grahm cracker houses with the kids. We’ll see how that goes.
Happy Thanksgiving!
Beautiful!! We got our first snow last week too…and the kids are loving it! Isn’t it magical?
Nancy over at Fete et Fleur has an adorable napkin ring idea to keep kids busy on Thanksgiving Day. You will need a ton of napkins! And Family Fun magazine has turkey games to play. I also didn’t realize that Snoopy and the Peanuts have a Thanksgiving Day DVD that is available at Target. I was just looking for activities for my own family that day… There are also a ton of coloring sheets available to print off the internet.
Have a wonderful Thanksgiving with your family!
