Going to Germany

august-2009-009-blog

My bags are packed and I am going to Germany.  Not really, but my grandmother’s generation would have said this as code for “going to the hospital”.   Almost as  if it was too vulgar to say you were going to deliver a baby.  The same generation that would say “in the family way”.    So old fashioned and cute.

I am not actually not going to Germany right this minute, but my bag is packed.  My friend Martha & I designed a diaper bag collection years ago.  She moved on to other things so eden’s bouquet will be taking over the line.  Stayed tuned for a diaper bag giveaway!  All diaper bags come with a coordinating changing pad and laptop case.

My mom crocheted this pacifier holder for Hazel with my vintage thread, you can get one here.  These coordinate perfectly with the Heirloom Layette Collection.  When attached to the clothing this has the look of a lovely old brooch.  I love the pacifier they give you in the hospital, but don’t love the color.  You can get the soothie in different colors here. (I took a hole punch to the soothie so that I could attach the holder to it)

You can purchase the Vintage Crochet Baby Headband here.

You would think that I would be overly anxious to have my baby at this point, but so far I am not.  I feel like I have so much to do before she is born.  Sometimes I do feel “done”.  Like when a bee is chasing me and I try to run.

  1. BEAUTIFUL bag…going to the hospital in style is ever so important, don’t ya think :o) Beautiful everything else, too! It’s equally important to start our little ones off in style :o) Hazel has it made in that department!

We didn’t have any internet service this week (we had a lovely zapped modem from a lightning storm) until last night so I’m finally getting to catch up on blogs. I checked here first to see if I missed the arrival of Miss Hazel Jean. So glad I didn’t miss anything!

  2. Sweet bag! I’m looking forward to seeing the rest of the line.

May God bless you as you wait for your newest little one to “arrive”!

  3. Oh diaper bags, goody goody! I can’t wait! I’m eager to order a bauble (pacifier) holder but am curious how it attaches to one. The reason I didn’t like the pacifier the hospital gave me is because there wasn’t a way to clip it to a holder. I just love all of your things and am so happy they are available at a time I have a baby! 🙂 Best wishes on your delivery of your sweet Hazel!

  4. Great stuff. I Heart the diaper bag. I have never won anything from Edens before, so perhaps that will be my lucky day. It is simply beautiful.

I am so darn excited about seeing little Miss Hazel Jean. I know she is going to be so sweet and adoreable.

I got my package in the mail this week and it is perfect. Thank you, Thank you, Thank you Jen!

Best wishes to you in the days ahead for a wonderful delivery…I am sure you are a PRO at this by now. Heck, you could probably tell the Dr. what to do or deliver her yourself.

    Praying for all of you.
